The Ohio Supreme Court upheld the convictions & death sentence, yesterday, of a man who robbed and murdered an ex-girlfriend back in June 2002, rejecting more than a dozen allegations of legal & procedural error by the trial court including one that the trial court had violated his fair trial rights by denying a request from a juror to take smoke breaks during the case’s deliberation.
